Offering a beginner-friendly modern calligraphy workshop experience at your stay, guiding the group through their calligraphy tools, the foundations of calligraphy, forming beautiful letters and creating letter art. No experience is needed, and both right- and left-handers are welcome. The calligraphy process is relaxed and unhurried, a pocket of calm where you switch off, get creative and learn something new. Everyone keeps their own calligraphy kit at the end, so the practice carries on at home. If the workshop is for a special occasion, let me know and I'll shape it around you.

Guest to provide
Just a dining table everyone can gather around at your stay, with space to lay out the calligraphy tools and worksheets for each person, and good light to work by. Let me know your group size and the occasion in advance so I can shape the session around you.

I bring everything you need for the session, including a calligraphy kit for every guest to take home. All you need to add is a table, chairs and good light!
Cancellation policy
Full refund if you cancel more than 14 days before the start date. No refund if you cancel within 14 days.

I'm Rachel, a modern calligrapher based in the Cotswolds. I've been teaching calligraphy since 2020. I'm self-taught and left-handed, so I know how to make the pen work for everyone, whichever hand you write with. My sessions are unhurried and warm, a pocket of calm where you slow down, learn a creative skill and leave feeling inspired.
