Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Boon Ltd ("Boon", "we", "us") collects, uses and shares your personal information when you visit boon.club, contact us, or use our services to book a Cotswolds stay or experience.

We act as the data controller for personal information you provide to us directly. Where we share information with property owners or experience providers so they can fulfil a booking, those parties become independent controllers for the information we share with them.

Information we collect

We collect information you give us when you make an enquiry, create an account or complete a booking. Typical fields include:

• Name and contact details (email address, phone number)
• Booking details such as dates, group size, accommodation preferences and any notes you share with us
• Payment details where applicable — these are processed by our payment partner Stripe; Boon does not store full card numbers
• Communications you exchange with us via email, phone or web forms
• Technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages visited (collected through standard server logs and privacy-respecting analytics)

How we use your information

We use your information to operate the Boon marketplace, including responding to enquiries, confirming and managing bookings, processing payments, contacting you about your bookings, and improving our service.

We may also use your contact details to send you occasional updates about new properties, experiences or features that we think will be relevant — you can opt out of these at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email or by emailing us.

Sharing your information

We share the minimum information needed to deliver your booking with the property owner or experience provider you've booked with. Typical sharing includes your name, contact details, party size and any preferences relevant to your stay.

We use trusted third-party processors to run the service — including Stripe (payments), Sharetribe (marketplace platform) and Airtable (operational records). Each of these is bound by contract to handle your data only on our instructions.

We will not sell your personal information to third parties.

How long we keep your information

We keep booking records for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with our legal and tax obligations (typically seven years for accounting records) and resolve disputes.

Marketing-only contacts are retained until you ask us to remove them.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct it, to ask us to delete it where we no longer have a lawful basis to keep it, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to receive a copy of your data in a portable format.

We use a small number of strictly-necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. We do not use third-party tracking or advertising cookies on boon.club.
