Charcoal & graphite drawing sessions

Overview

A drawing session at your stay, in charcoal and graphite

I bring everything you need for a relaxed drawing session at your stay. We will work in charcoal, graphite and ink, taking our cue from the nature around us, an animal you love or whatever you fancy putting on paper. You do not need any experience. My aim is for you to experiment and find your own way of seeing, rather than copy a set example. It suits couples, families and small groups, and it is a calm, hands-on way to spend a few hours in the Cotswolds and take home something you have made.

About me

I am a Cotswolds-based artist working in charcoal, graphite and ink, drawn most of all to the natural world. I have been drawing since I was small, and I love sharing that with people who think they cannot. I run hands-on sessions where the point is to play and experiment, not to get it right.

What I'm known for

Charcoal, graphite and ink drawings of animals and nature, and warm, unstuffy sessions that get complete beginners drawing with confidence.

My background and experience

I have drawn and painted for years across all sorts of subjects and sizes, with commissioned work for both private clients and large organisations. Alongside my own art I teach regularly in schools and small groups, encouraging people to think freely and find their own mark rather than follow a strict method.

The Cotswolds

A small region, generously uncovered: stone cottages, long lunches, wild swims, private chefs. Stay a while. Do something worth the journey.
