Ebrington Manor is a traditional Grade II listed house that has remained in the Fortescue family since 1456. While its oldest sections date to the 1300s, the front façade reflects late Elizabethan design, with further additions made in the 1700s. The house retains original 17th-century panelling, open fireplaces and exposed beams, giving the interiors a warm, lived-in character. Reception rooms feature large working fireplaces using logs from the estate. The galleried hall creates a striking first impression, while a series of sitting and dining spaces provide generous room for groups. All bedrooms are en-suite, with newly installed bathrooms and reliable hot-water pressure. The accommodation offered is the principal section of the manor with its own entrance, drive and private gardens. A separate, self-contained area to the rear is occasionally used by family members but has its own access and does not affect guest privacy.
Outside
Twenty acres of private grounds surround the house: west-facing gardens, wide lawns, mature trees and long views. A small spring-fed lake sits close to the manor, complete with a Cotswold stone boathouse. The lake is warm enough for summer swimming thanks to its clay lining and comes with a rowing boat, paddle board, inflatables and fishing rods for its stocked carp. An African-inspired boma with built-in firepit makes an excellent outdoor gathering space. Grounds also include spaces suited for croquet, pétanque and football, along with a dedicated croquet lawn.
