Built in the early 19th century, Underwood House was originally the estate manager’s residence at Stancombe Park. Now comprehensively renovated, it retains its period proportions and architectural character while offering the ease and comfort expected of a contemporary country home.
Inside
The ground floor is arranged around three generous reception spaces. A large sitting room with wood-burning stove provides a warm and inviting focal point, while an equally spacious dining room opens through double doors onto the terrace, creating a natural flow between indoors and out.
The fully equipped kitchen is designed for practical self-catering, complemented by underfloor heating and high-speed internet throughout the property. A hallway by the back door and a separate WC complete the ground floor layout.
On the first floor are two substantial bedrooms with vaulted ceilings and exposed beams. One features an en-suite bathroom with roll-top bath and large shower, while the second is served by a well-appointed family bathroom.
