About

About

Temple Guiting Manor is one of the Cotswolds’ most distinguished historic houses — a Grade I listed Tudor manor described by Sir Nikolaus Pevsner as “one of the finest, if not the very best, of the small Cotswold Tudor houses.” Privately owned since the 15th century, the house has been carefully renovated to preserve its architectural integrity while introducing the comfort and ease expected of a contemporary country stay.

Inside

The Manor offers five bedrooms sleeping up to 12 guests, arranged across elegant, character-filled interiors. Original beams, stone fireplaces and period detailing sit comfortably alongside modern bathrooms and thoughtful updates.
The drawing room and sitting room both feature open fires, creating inviting spaces for evenings together. A snug with television offers a more relaxed retreat, while the formal vaulted dining room — capable of seating up to 32 when required — makes the Manor particularly well suited to celebratory gatherings. A separate dining hall seats 12 for more intimate occasions. There is also a full-size billiard table for unhurried afternoons indoors.

Outside

The Manor is surrounded by private walled gardens, offering a peaceful and enclosed setting. Guests have access to a dovecote hot tub, an all-weather tennis court and a gated private boating lake within the estate grounds. The setting feels secluded and self-contained, with space to relax, dine outdoors and enjoy the landscape.

Find the house

Located in the centre of Temple Guiting village in Gloucestershire, the Manor sits in one of the Cotswolds’ most picturesque settings. From here, Stow-on-the-Wold, Bourton-on-the-Water and Winchcombe are within easy reach, while the estate itself offers the sense of stepping back into English history without sacrificing comfort.
