About

About

Yew Tree Cottage Bisley is tucked away at the end of a long rural dead-end road, partially concealed by a mature yew hedge and surrounded by woodland. Carefully and comprehensively renovated by its current owners, the house combines warmth and texture in winter with light and openness in summer — a retreat designed for all seasons.

Inside

The main cottage offers three king-size bedrooms and two bathrooms, all positioned on the first floor. Living space on the ground floor is notably generous, centred around a long open-plan kitchen and dining room that opens directly onto the outdoor terrace for seamless indoor–outdoor living.
A vaulted main sitting room with wood-burning stove provides a striking focal point, while a separate study-cum-sitting room offers a quieter retreat. A downstairs utility and boot room add practical convenience for country stays.
On the edge of the woodland sits a contemporary single-storey annex. This can serve as a private studio retreat or be prepared as an en-suite king bedroom, offering flexibility for guests seeking additional privacy.

Outside

The cottage is surrounded by a pretty private garden and its own woodland, creating a sense of complete seclusion. A decked wood-fired hot tub sits just below the annex, positioned to overlook the trees and countryside beyond.
From the doorstep, woodland and rural walks lead directly into the Slad Valley. Several well-regarded pubs are accessible on foot within 30 to 40 minutes, including the well-known Woolpack in Slad. Due to the fine fabrics and interiors, dogs are not accepted.
